The Gero Team actually contacted us first. Our previous agent was unsuccessful in selling our house, they noticed that our house was no longer on the market and called to ask if we were still interested in selling. We were, but also asked another agency about selling (a friend's recommendation). The Geros were excited about selling our house. The other agency basically dissed our house. We went with the Geros. They were able to sell our house after just two months - even during the holidays! Ironically, the buyers had come through that other agency, and they paid $50,000 MORE than the other agency had said our house would be worth "at most". Clearly, the Geros have a much better handle on the real estate market, and are more interested in getting top dollar for the sellers they represent.

At first we were a bit doubtful about asking Kim to represent us because the commission was higher than others. But her knowledge of our area, her confidence in her ability to sell soon won us over. She was willing to try at a price above her best estimate, she appreciated the unique qualities of our property, and she said she would always be here to show the house personally. Her showing the house personally was what won us over and, true to her word she was there on time to show the house. She asked a lot about the features and history of the house so we were confident she was presenting the house in its best light. And at the end when we thought we would have to sell at a lower price than we were asking, she negotiated a contract at the asking price in a market that had been cooling for almost a year. I consulted several different realtors before selecting Kim. They were all pessimistic, raising problems they thought needed attending to and slowing down the process, possibly for another year. They also proposed much lower listing prices for the property. When, after listing, almost no one was choosing to even see the house, I was beginning to think it had been a mistake to list the price as high as Kim had recommended, and began to think I might have to seek another agent if it went to another year. And then, suddenly, they had found an enthusiastic buyer, and from then forward the whole process was as smooth as silk. Not only were she and her husband very friendly and warm people, who were pleasant to relate to, but they gave wise advice in the face of the various questions and requests posed by the prospective buyers during the time leading to closing. Not least of their services, when sudden health problems forced us to rush to another state before the Movers picked up our belongings, they were there to provide access and guidance to the moving company.
